I began a relationship with Jesus when I was 16 years old. The Lord used an illustration from my pastor that began to work in my heart, and after three weeks of searching, I realized I needed Jesus in my life. I asked Him to be my Savior and Lord of my life.

Through the years I have served in churches in Texas, Washington and Montana since 1980. My wife, Joyce, who is from Oregon, trusted Jesus as her Savior when she was eight years old. She works in Great Falls as a deaf interpreter.

I attended the Capernwray Bible School in England, which focused on Biblical studies. I was drafted into the Army and spent two years serving my country. Joyce and I married during my time in the Army. Then, I attended Hardin Simmons University, majoring in the fields of counseling and education.

Before becoming a pastor, I taught Sunday School, led choirs, led home Bible studies, and was a volunteer missionary with Joyce for a summer in Portland, Oregon. As an ordained minister, I’ve served in the areas of Youth, Family, Education, Music, Worship Leading, and as a Preaching Pastor.  Since January of 2001, I have been serving as Pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Falls.

It is a joy to me to see God at work in the lives of His people. I hope to pastor a group of people that will put the Lord above all else and will get involved in the ministry of reconciliation, letting people know about the One who loves them so much.
